Ten early members will help shape the culture, training ideas, events, and future direction of Te Awamutu Tri Club.
We're excited to officially begin building Te Awamutu Tri Club - starting first and foremost as a community of people who want to train together, support each other, and create something positive for our local area.
Right now we're beginning as a community training group where beginners and experienced athletes can connect, train together, learn from each other, and stay motivated. As we grow, the vision is to develop into a fully established club with coaching, events, gear, and more.
This community will initially be based in Te Awamutu, with plans to expand into Cambridge as interest grows. To help us take the next step toward formally establishing the club and becoming a registered organisation, we're opening 10 Founder Member spots.
They'll play an important role in helping establish the club and guiding its early direction:
We're currently working on bringing coaches on board to support beginners and help members develop their skills. If you already have experience in swimming, cycling, running, or triathlon and would enjoy helping others, we'd love to hear from you - we may be able to begin coaching sessions earlier with support from experienced members within the community.
Coaching would initially be a voluntary role, with the potential to become a paid opportunity as the club grows. And no matter your pace, fitness level, or experience - everyone is welcome.
